Hawkeye Renewables, LLC was founded in 2003 by members of the AltEnergy team. It grew from a 50 million gallon per year dry-grind corn-to-ethanol plant in 2004 to a 210 million gallon per year ethanol production company, becoming the third largest ethanol producer in the U.S. before it was sold in June of 2006.
