Tres Amigas, LLC is developing a Transmission Super Station to be located in eastern New Mexico where the three power grids in the United States converge. Tres Amigas will be the first system to interconnect all three of America's asynchronous power grids, thereby enabling a significant increase in the generation of power from renewable energy sources that is currently limited by the nation's inadequate power transmission infrastructure.
